Well, this weekend I ventured off the Ripon campus over to Fond du Lac to stand up in the wedding of two of my best friends. Usually when I leave campus for the weekend, when I return, I feel like I'm completely out of the loop. People share their crazy stories with the people who were there with them, and all that is shot your way is a quick, "Well, I guess you had to be there." However, this weekend was different, as it seemed a LARGE portion of the campus decided to go to Fond du Lac to celebrate Pam and Jesse's wedding as well. The bride was in my sorority and the groom was a Merriman (a frat on campus), so the majority of two Greek groups on campus as well as faculty members and numerous other students and alumni all came together for a beautiful reception. It was like I never left Ripon. That's one of the things I love about this campus; when you're here, people care about you. When you graduate, they remember you and STILL care about you. I think that's pretty unique.
After a hectic weekend, it's nice to be able to have a relatively stress-free week back on campus. Although I guess it's too early to make that assertion, seeing as it is only Tuesday.
